Reba went to Braunschweig on Friday 4/8 and was picked up to fellowship directly. There were 17
attended. Many of them were non-believers. Reba started the message on “Good Shepherd”. Since黛熠
asked to continue bible study on Acts chapter 14 as scheduled (to Reba’s surprise), Reba included some
messages from Acts by memory. There had been many questions from the non-believers.
Since all attendees have science background, their questions were very much science oriented. One
person, 楊毅is a programmer and he asked some questions about debugging. I told him it was not by
chance that I was the one he asked this question and was able to reply with my own experiences by
praying to God.
Many of them are in chemical research in mechanic and building material. There were vivid discussions
among a few non-believers. For example, one asked how can we prove human being is not developed
from monkey and what the future of human being lies. Some I couldn’t answer but told them to turn
to child-hearted to believe as Jesus taught us. And, also told them David Lu can continue this discussion
with them when he visits next weekJ
Other visitors included a couple from Belgium visiting friends and two working for Volkswagen in China
branch came for training. We also had some discussions about obeying your boss or be loyal to your
country. There were also discussions on how to prepare retirement.
In a Chinese restaurant we ate lunch at, I got chance to talk to the lady owner and discovered she came
from a Christian family in 浙江. She said she doesn’t have time to attend Church sine her restaurant
opens 7 days. We told her the meeting time on Sunday worship is at 3. She said she will try to attend.
We got the phone number at restaurant to invite her to Sunday worship.
Reba feels that she had good discussions and the meantime learned a lot from this Braunschweig group.
Thanks to Lord that she overcame the panic of changing topics.
Reba made back to Leipzig and met at train station with David and Beefei back from Halle and Weimar.
We examined how the McDonald operated to prepare need for overnight stays when locked out in the
future:J
Hi all
We all home (Gospel Center) safely. Reba will write her story. The first thing we did this morning was
taking care of the cell phone. It is done, what a relief (cell price is EUR 0.14/min inside Germany).
There are 12 +2 people attend the fellowship at Halle. We have not seen them for 2 years. I still able to
recognize 4 old faces. Everyone is very much touched by the message and wants to hear more. Mrs. Hon
encouraged them to come to Sunday school/ service and combined fellowship at Leipzig tomorrow. We will
see what will happen.
Then we took bus and train to Weimar. The students were waiting for us. They singed a beautiful song
(Blessing) to 2 girls who are going back China this week. Quiet few of them cried. I can see the bounding
love of Christ among them. 19 people attended the fellowship. Many non-believers were moved by the
messages. The leaders will follow up on them. They are looking forward of our team to come. They also
study ACT 14/15 if there is no speaker.
We met Reba at train station at 21:12 to go home together. We ate our dinner in McDonald at Leipzig train
station and find out this one is open 24/7 that will help us in emergency to stay overnight like last night
(detail story ask 徐廣柔). We are so excited to share to each other. We count our blessings one by one. We
are so appreciate your prayer and encouragement.
May God bless the people through us. May we bring the glory to His name.
In Christ
